After nearly two decades in the oyster industry culminating in writing the critically acclaimed book “Oyster Isles” oysterman Bobby Groves has travelled the length and breadth of these wondrous isles.

He started out on the oyster beaches of the Essex coast, moving on to purification, export, market trading as Bobby’s Oysters and then restaurants. Bobby has seen more oyster farms and fisheries in the UK & Ireland than anyone else giving him a unique insight into the best oysters & smokehouses of these shores.
